Open an office in Northern Nigeria and ask her to go out there and set it up.

Goose,

Not sure where you are geographically. But I am in Texas and it is the same here. Black people I have known for years, worked with etc are all claiming racisms and white privilege.

Ironically one of the more vocal ones lives in a bigger house that me and him and his wife both drives big arse Mercedes, but apparently I have all the privilege... Go figure.

Not sure she's telling you the truth. I've just done the same thing on two different calendars and both included Rememberance Sunday, Queen's Birthday etc. Neither included SL Day or Windrush Day.

Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
Neither of those is a UK holiday are they?

Bouncing Ludo 5:50 Mon Nov 2
Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
Where I live we produce a calendar every year from residents pictures. Got mine last week..

SL day is on there, as is Windrush Day (22nd June) - Remembrance Sunday doesn't get a mention.

I raised it with the calendar organiser who said she just clicked "include UK holidays" on the website she got it from.

Country, Dogs etc

It's the launch of a new charity.

"I am proud to announce the launch of The Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation for Black History Month 2020."

"We are formally launching the Foundation on October 22, exactly 6 months before Stephen Lawrence Day itself.

Anyone having a problem with this is a cunt.

All of our drug dealers should be celebrated.

Joking.

Couldnt really give a fuck,we are gtting wokeness shoved at us from all angles to the point where it is becoming laughable.

I'm guessing it was meant to coordinate with Black History Month
Maybe. Who knows. Does seem slightly odd though

I made two points neither of which you refuted or acknowledged stewie.
Except to call me 'right on'. Good job

Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
We have a ‘teams’ Instagram account for our employees.
This month it’s been taken over by one of our black employees to educate us all about black history month.

Her first post said that she grew up around the midlands where she was the only black family but she was ‘lucky’ not to experience any racism.
Since then we’ve been told that white privilege is real and if we don’t agree we’re part of the problem.
Lastly that it is our duty to educate ourselves about black history.

Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
you're so right on, Sven. Can't spell 'institutionally', but so right on.

No major issue with this as a concept. Major issue with having tv ads for it. Even bigger issue with those tv ads being run 6 months in advance of the event. Even xmas doesn't get that much of a build up.

Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
Remarkable if he WAS a drug dealer that no evidence to prove that has been provided in the last 25 years
Or why the PROVEN INSTITIONALLY RACIST police didn't take any opportunity to arrest him prior to his death

Re: Stephen Lawrence Day
30th February would be the ideal date for this.
